Ch #18 - "One of the Five Elements" - Favorites Announced

Hi Everyone,

As always, thank you to everyone who participated in this challenge - either by completing a piece or by voting. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

There were seven beautiful and fascinating entries. I love seeing people's interpretation of the challenges.

Ch #18 - "One of the Five Elements" - Time to Vote!

Hello Everyone!

Challenge #18 ended Wednesday, April 15, so it's time - once again - to vote.

The challenge was "One of the Five Elements" - picked by Lynn (SiriusMosaics - favorite artist of Challenge #13 - "Bottle Fit for a Genie"). The guidelines were, "Pick one of the Five Elements: Wood, Earth, Metal, Water, Fire. It can be your own intrepretation, may refer to the Chinese or Japanese Philosophy, scientific, etc."

Favorites will be announced Thursday, April 23.

Ch #17 - Found Object / Mixed Media Favorites

Congratulations to the artists who made the three favorites in the Found Object / Mixed Media - Challenge #17.

"Found Objects / Mixed Media" - Time to Vote for your Favorites

Hi Everyone,

Our "Found Object / Mixed Media" challenge ended March 31, with seven wonderful entries. I especially like these kind of challenges, because there's something so interesting about using something you FOUND. It's like a little gift. Plus, in the case of "junk", I like the fact that the artist recycled something. One person's trash is another's treasure, afterall.

Please go to the Flickr link: here, and send me a Flickr mail, or email me at Millimomo@gmail with your three favorite pieces. I like to get the number of the piece and the artist's name (or a description, or whatever), because then I'm certain the right piece is getting the vote.

You have until the end of the day April 7 to get them to me. The favorites will be announced April 8.

Is it just me, or does the spring weather create more inspiration for creativity?
